The Cons of Nurseries

That’s it. Tomorrow I’m going to see my doctor despite knowing for sure I have to wait the least one hour for my turn. The sore throat has gone and now I’m having an itchy and tickly throat which is killing me!! Plus my nose is constantly runny and at times stuffy. I seriously need to call the plumber to fix my nose!!

I hope my kids won’t get the flu from me. They’ve been sick free for a month ever since I stopped sending them to the unhygienic nursery. I hate nurseries. They’re so unclean. They don’t give enough food to your children (sometimes they don’t give at all), they share your kid’s milk with the other kids, their pillows and mattresses are dull and dirty and etc…seriously they don’t practice proper hygiene to prevent the spread of many diseases. We spent a lot of money on medications for the last two months and also on Rayyan’s milk which I suspect they must have simply prepared his milk without following the time and will just discard it or give it to another kid when Rayyan refuses to drink it. My children were sick almost every day. The worst illness they got was the eye infection which they contracted from one of the kids. It took 2 weeks for them to recover! I had to take 2 weeks off work because of that. Lucky thing hubby and I didn’t get it. What a horror experience ok! Now Rayyan is getting chubbier again like he used to be. If I had not stopped sending them there I think they will just vanish into thin air in just a matter of time.

I think I should stop munching on the cashew nuts for two reasons. Firstly, a total waste coz my sense of taste has stopped functioning due to the stuffy nose and secondly, it will make my throat even more itchier rite?

Rose Syrup Anyone?

Hi Flu!

It's that thing visiting me again. I started having a lumpy feeling on my right throat around 8pm just now. It's an indicator that I've been hit by the flu virus yet again..and few hours later my body started feeling week and feverish..flu-like symptoms..

I drank plenty of water to ease the sore throat and to flush out all the germs out of my body. Consumed some Vitamin C, Panadol and flu pills. I feel much better now but I just couldn't sleep. Believe it or not, I just finished a whole packet of Oreo Chocolate Cream!

Good thing that I got the flu now. Hopefully I won't catch it again until after I deliver.

Ok, it's time to hit the hay and drift off..nites!

Dani Oh Dani!

Hubby called Dani around 10-ish just now while we were having dinner. He told him that we bought him another Ben 10 bag, this time a medium size one to add to his collection and also told him that his mom misses him a lot. Upon hearing the last words he broke into tears sobbing uncontrollably...

I felt a little bit guilty for asking hubby to tell him that I miss him..spoiling my little boy's mood..well at least I know he misses me too!! Sorry Dani, I hope you're already okay and back to enjoying your holiday!

Hehe...okaylah I won't disturb you anymore after this! :D

This Will Do..

...for the time being...

No Dani for 4 Days

Dani will not be with us for four days starting today and will only return on Monday. He will be following his grandparents, mommyyin and his cousins Airis, Jasmine and Zidane for a short trip to Kedah and then up to Cameron Highlands.

I cried when he left this morning. I hate the feeling ok. But he was all excited looking forward to the trip and spending time with his cousins. As long as he is happy I should be happy too. No need to be so emotional. At least Rayyan is here with us. Better than nothing.

Ok Dani, do take good care of yourself..remember that I LOVE you soooo much and waiting for you to come back soon! Muahsssss..xoxoxoxoxo!

Now I feel so bad for scolding him etc all these while although all those scoldings were for good reasons.

Dani and his School

Today I went to CIC Puncak Jalil to fully settle Dani's school fees. His school's orientation week will begin this Monday for the next two weeks, two hours a day. You can see how excited he is with his new school. We've bought him his all-time favorite cartoon hero Ben 10 bag and some stationaries too. I hope he'll enjoy learning there.

Ahh..everything is so fresh and new!

Roses

Last Sunday hubby and I did a spring cleaning on the stack of boxes stored under the stairways that has been untouched for years and we found some of our wedding gifts which we have totally forgotten that they existed. The vase as shown in the pic below was one of the gifts which was still in good condition after like 6 years. Just the right thing to put on my fireplace after I transferred the apples onto the dining table. Later in the evening I went to the nearby florist and bought some white and cream colored roses to put into the vase. Just love the sweet look of it!

Newest Addition to Our Home!

My Manchester Dining set was delivered just now @ sharp 8pm. *Grin*. Finally I can enjoy utilizing the table 'puas-puas' for about 2-3 weeks before I deliver because after that I'll be cooped up in the confinement room upstairs for 44 days!

Hubby decided to purchase another additional 2 chairs to make them 8 altogether coz the table is actually a folding dining table which can be extended to 8 seater table. Nice eh...:D

Counter-height table is finished in wood grain with a beautiful oak veneered top. Rolling, under-table features 2 doors cabinet, perfect for dinnerware.

Can't wait for breakfast tomorrow morning!

Dani Preschool Registration

We've just settled Dani’s enrolment into his new preschool. Guess how much the total cost is? RM750 (annual fees) + RM325 (monthly) + RM50 (food) + RM 60 (2 additional uniforms) + RM 60 (transportation)= RM 1245..just for preschool! Oh dear..look at the cost of schooling your kids nowadays..

Dani will be starting his orientation week on the 21st of this month for two weeks. What I like about CIC is that it is not a school-based-examination but instead it evaluates its students based on their individual progress which means the children won’t be stressed out with exams and all at such an early age.

Dani likes his new school and is all excited about it. He kept asking me to show him his school’s online website without getting bored looking at it every day.

Can’t wait!

Macy Write-A-Review Contest

Hooray hooray hooray..to be frank, I was hoping to win the grand prize which is the LG32″ LCD TV (Model No:32LH25R) for this Macy warehouse clearance write-a-review contest but sadly no I didn't and instead I won myself the OSIM eye massager..ok what..better than nothing rite? At first there were only 4 prizes offered for this contest. Besides the grand prize, 3 PHILIPS DVD Player (Model No: DVP4050) are rewarded as consolation prizes. Since the response for this contest was overwhelming, the organizer has decided to add on 2 more prizes to the contest by giving away the OSIM eye massager to the selected winners.

Here’s what I submitted for the review contest. Nothing fancy just a simple one. Thanks Macy for selecting me as one of the winners. Muah..luv you to bits!!

Incredible Quality @ Incredibly Cheap Price!

"Macy Annual Warehouse Clearance is the bomb! Being an avid fan of Macy products, I made sure not to miss out on what could be an experience I will never regret. I started going to their sales last year and did not regret a bit. I was not aware of their previous years’ sales though. I sure missed many years of good discounts and bargains! For this year’s sales I went on the first two days and last day. I got there at 9.30am on all three days simply to avoid the large crowd, shop in peace and most importantly to get the closest parking to the entrance because I already know for sure that I will have to travel back and forth to my car to keep the items that I have purchased.

The selections were more than plentiful and they were all great quality including the as-is items on display. My first bought item was the Whitfield night stand table which was on display in the open space. I fell in love with it the moment I set my eyes on its beautiful classic design. I’ve always been searching for a nice classic English side table and having found what I wanted was indeed a dream come true. For the price of only RM69 (70% off) it was a total steal! It was the only unit available and still in perfect condition. Next I bought two table lamps which cost only RM14 per piece. I left early on the first day because I couldn’t stand the heat and the huge crowd. Furthermore I am already 8 months pregnant with my third child. I decided to come again the next day.

On day two I purchased a teak single seat priced at RM95 (which now I regretted for not buying two instead), 2 sets of curtains, some pillow cushions, table runners and kitchen towels. On the last day of the clearance sale I bought more curtains. Since I was one of the early birds I managed to grab hold of the limited sliding door curtains left on sale.

The layout of the sale was very organized and I got good deals. I'm pretty satisfied with the inventory, the professionalism of the staff, and the overall organization of the event. The staff was more than helpful and also warm and friendly. What more could you want? I will definitely go to their next year’s sales again. Even now I’m already looking forward to it! I’m giving this happening event 5 stars!"

My 2010 Wishlist

I don’t want to miss the boat on this one. Everyone else has come up with their own list. So here’s mine. Please note the following list is not exhaustive. Just the priority ones..LOL.

1. A beautiful classic English white/brown display cabinet. Would prefer a corner type but wouldn’t mind if it’s not. Something like this:

Status: Already found a few types that I like on the net and at certain shops but maybe will purchase the desired one after my confinement.

2. A large wall mirror to put at my dining area. Am thinking of getting a custom made ones rather than off-the-shelf mirrors. Something like this one:

Status: Haven’t done any surveys yet. After my confinement, definitely.

3. Floor lamp. Only one will do. Something like this:

Status: Same as the above.

That’s all folks. Thank you. Oh ya please let me know in advance if any of you out there might want to give any of the items above to me as a bithday gift..:D

Dani's Going to Preschool Next Year

Dani will be starting his preschool next year. Gee..I’m so excited!! And the best part is there’s this newly opened CIC (Children Islamic Centre) outlet nearby our house.

I called them up just now and already got the details on the programmes they offer. There are 3 packages altogether; Mutiara, Delima and Zamrud. Each programme costs RM250, Rm320 and RM450 respectively. I’ve decided to enroll Dani into the second package. His class will start as early as 8.30am and ends at 2pm. After 12pm there will be Iqra’ studies where the kids will learn to perform the solat, read the Muqaddam and etc. I feel package 2 suits Dani best.

The first payment (yearly fees) will cost RM750 which includes the registration fees, enrolment fees (books, facilities etc), uniform as well as welfare fees. Transportation is also provided costing around RM50-60 monthly.

Oh my god..I just can’t wait to send Dani there! Why do I feel so excited? Maybe it’s gonna be the perfect preschool for him! Also I sempat see him go to school before I deliver, InsyaAllah!

Plant Caring Tips

Self Note so that I will not forget or get confused.

Fern Plant: Need little water, indirect sunlight with high humidity.

Indoor Cactus Plant: Need little water, do not place it in the bright sun, need watering as little as once a month.

Money/Jade Plant: they like very little water, water when the leaves feel a little squishy or dried out. The best is to water them once a week, loves the sun.

Finally..

She has finally arrived. The maid. I am so relieved! And the best part is..she meets all of my requirements! Can you believe it? She’s not bengap (stupid), learns thing fast, attentive, enjoy caring and entertaining the kids, pleasant looking and etc. She can cook all sorts of dishes e.g. rendang ayam etc but we will not let her cook, though. Usually hubby will do the cooking and the maid will do the cleaning up. See..her life is easy what..just clean up the house, fold and iron the clothes and look after the kids. And she gets paid RM550 a month. I hope she will stay with us long and not follow the previous maid’s footsteps. But of course although she’s good and all I will still have to keep a watchful eye over her. Never ever easily trust them maids. I’ve learnt my lessons.

Went to Macy just now and purchased the Manchester dining table that I have long booked and paid the deposit. Delivery will be next Saturday due to no stock availability. Can’t wait!

Blocked Nose Gone..Now Welcoming Blocked Ear

It’s been 5 days already and my left ear is still blocked..all interrelated with my blocked nose. But my nose is okay already..I’m just waiting for my ear to open up. I just remembered that I had the same ear blockage problem when I was pregnant with my first son. So I think this ear blocking thingie has got something to do with pregnancy hormones etc. Whatever. Does that mean this baby will sport straight hair just like his big brother??? Maybe..

My weight has gone up to 76 kilos, a kilo gained in a week. I have like 6 more weeks to go..so let’s say if I gain a kilo a week my total weight will be 82 kilos…well still ok compared to my last pregnancy..4 kilo less than the final weight..

I can’t believe McD was so kind enough to have agreed to release their Prosperity Burger earlier than scheduled just for me. I wrote them a letter asking for their kind consideration to release it early so that I can eat them before I deliver. And they did! Wow, suddenly I feel so important..hahahahahaa….

Don’t get jealous babes!

Liar2x Pants on Fire!

Arghh..and so the verdict is..NO MAID for us! Yeah that’s what we were told by the stupid fool agency. They told us that they couldn’t bring in the maid as ‘pelancong’ into Malaysia and that they will have to resort to the normal procedure which is using calling visa. So all these while maid agencies bring in maids the illegal way and yet they charge us for the visa etc..it seems many were caught at Batam there trying to illegally snoop into our country..bodo bodo bodo!

So now tell me what I’m supposed to do???? I’m at lost ok..so at lost..i feel like it’s already the end of the world..at times I just feel malas to think about this stupid maid issue..I want to postpone my labor to 2011! I wish I could. So no mood already.

Quit work je la macam ni!

Waiting for my bread box :D
